We often hear from parents, “My child is so overwhelmed and frustrated by standardized tests! His performance don't reflect his ability, and it's so demoralizing. Can you actually help?” 

Of course we can! We love helping students do well on these challenging tests. In particular, we love showing students who may not think of themselves as “smart” what they can really achieve. So many students work hard for great grades at school, but then score poorly on standardized tests. We can help build your child's confidence and teach them strategies so they can shine. We also use these tests as an opportunity to help students build the skills in reading, math, and writing that they need for success in the classroom.  

How do we help students get results? 

Our tutoring is comprehensive.  We teach four major test skill sets:

• academic skills
• test taking strategies
• timing strategies
• strategies for overcoming test anxiety

If any one of these areas is not addressed, a student may be held back from earning his or her highest score.

Our tutoring is individualized: We begin with a pre-test so that we can get a full picture of each student’s strengths and weaknesses.  We use this test to customize tutoring to the needs of each student. We also work hard to match each student with a tutor that is ideal for his or her needs, schedule, and personality. 

Our tutors are experts: Our tutors are carefully selected to teach these tests. They have experience helping a variety of students, including those with learning disabilities and gifted students.
